Vineyard Contributions Plan

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OUR VALUED CLIENTS  IN THE VINEYARD PRECINCT

On 23 February 2021, at its Ordinary Meeting of Council, Hawkesbury City Council adopted the long awaited and much anticipated Vineyard Contributions Plan. The Contributions Plan provides for the levying of S7.11 developer contributions at:

  • $70,834 per dwelling on average for low density development
  • $54,705 per dwelling on average for medium density development

Importantly, the adoption of the Contributions Plan now permits Council to determine subdivision applications within the Vineyard Precinct. Until now, Clause 270A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation acted as a prohibition to Council determining most applications for the subdivision of land within the Precinct, unless the developer had proposed to enter into a planning agreement.

The completion of the final strategic planning step to the delivery of circa 2,500 dwellings in Stage 1 is sure to be welcomed by our industry.
